Fathom+Hatch hosts Made from Scratch
F+H hosts a short film competition
Oct 12, 2011

In October 2011, FATHOM+HATCH hosted its first film competition. Titled MADE FROM SCRATCH, we invited filmmakers, documentarians and creative-minded people to explore the ongoing legacy of New Yorkers who create products, companies, and ideas wrung from the raw materials of the City and themselves.
Finalist films were selected by an esteemed panel including renowned photographer George Lange, tech blog extraordinaire, Peter Rojas (Gizmodo, GDGT) and MTV guru and creator of Heroverse, Tom Akel. From gin-makers to green-roofers to psychedelic dolls, the films were screened at a gallery in Soho, where an audience choice award was selected.
